Meet Susan

     Hi everyone! My name is Susan Dischert, I’m a licensed clinical social worker and live in Bloomington IL. Family is everything to me, my wonderful husband (Jim), three amazing kids (Kenna, Tyler and Ben) and our beautiful dog Mazie keep me focused on what’s important in life. I love being outside (when its warm), long walks, challenging hikes and playing pickleball.

     I received my MSW in Social Work from the University of Illinois and my BSW in Social work from Illinois State University.. I have worked as a school social worker for over 25 years  and provide counseling services to children and adolescents. My journey in school social work has equipped me with a deep understanding of the unique pressures individuals face in various stages of life. In addition,  I have honed my expertise in addressing a wide range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, ADHD, and social skills development. 

     I am committed to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. My goal is to empower you to understand yourself better, break through barriers, and find practical solutions that promote lasting well-being.
